These are pictures of some swedish tourists whose brave mother, Karin Svaerd, tried to save her children. Of course they got engulfed in the waves, but they all survived. This was in Krabi, Thailand. To go to the source, click here.









Below: a mother runs toward the first of six tsunamis to save her three children.







The mother continues to run (below) to save her three children as the tsunami engulfs three yachts. This is a second before they are engulfed.

On the morning of 26 of december 2004, An earthquake measuring 9.0 on the ritcher scale occured off the coast of Indonesia. Indonesia is only one of the many countries affected. The countries affected are Indonesia, Srilanka, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Maldives, Madagascar, Kenya, Tanzania, and South Africa. It was indonesia that was hit hardest. Here are some pictures of thailand that were hit.
